Having a backup of your images and non-destructive edits is always a recommended step in working with your pictures. We recommend backing up your images themselves to a safe location, such as an external hard drive or cloud service. In addition to backing up your images, we also recommend enabling Photo RAW's sidecar files to make sure your non-destructive changes can be backed up as well. For more information on how to enable sidecar files, click here.
After enabling the program's sidecar files, which are saved alongside your images themselves in the same storage location, make sure to backup both the image and sidecar files to preserve both the original image and your edits.
