How to Install and Activate ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5

 If you are able to login to your User Account on our website, you are ready to install and activate the new Photo RAW. The links on this page have been updated for the FULL Version of the ON1 Photo RAW 2018.5.4. Installing the program from the links below on top of a previous version will overwrite the previous version. Your presets and extras will remain after installing on the same machine as your previous version. You will not need to uninstall any previous version of Photo Raw 2018 prior to following the steps below. 

Step 1:

Download the installer.

If you are on a Windows machine, please make sure you click "Save File". This will save the installer to your Downloads Folder on your computer. Please make sure you wait for the download fully complete before clicking on the installer. If you are running an earlier version, simply download and install the program on top of what you already have. This will overwrite the version on your machine and install the latest version. Please note, by default your legacy versions (Raw 2017 and 10.5.2 versions) will remain installed on your machine. 

Click on Mac or Windows to begin the download:

Step 2

Install the program. If you are on a PC, we recommend temporarily disabling your antivirus prior to running the installer, once you have done so please right click on the .exe file and choose "Run as the Administrator" to launch the installer. If you are on a Mac, simply double click on the installer to launch it. 





Windows Users:

Install Error: "error occurred during the process: -2147024891"

To fix this common Windows OS installation error, please click here

Install Error: "Open GL 3.3 or higher is required to run this application":

In many cases, this error means you need to update your video card driver from the manufacturer's website. Please click here for the full instructions on how to update your video card driver and configure the default GPU. 


Step 3 Activation:

Launch the program. This will bring up the sign in/activation window shown below. The ON1 Photo RAW 2018 activation is tied to your User Account and email address you used to purchase. It is CRITICAL that you are using the same exact email address that you used to purchase ON1 Photo RAW 2018 when signing in. If you are receiving an error message when signing in, have forgotten your username or password or are unable to activate for any reason, you will be able to reset it here


Once you have entered your email address and password, you will be able to click the blue "Sign In" button and begin using the program. 

If you do not know your password, or if do not know how to login to your User Account please log in to your User Account here. If you do not know your password, you will be able to reset it on the login page

Once you have reset your password, you will be able to sign into the ON1 Photo RAW 2018 activation when you launch the program.

Not sure you have the most current version installed?

Please note, after installing a free update, the program will still be listed on your machine as "ON1 Photo RAW 2018". However, the build number ( is listed in the About Window splash screen. If you are seeing the new splash window on startup, you are running the latest version of Photo Raw 2018.5!
