This is the first release of ON1 Sky Swap AI. Sky Swap AI makes replacing or enhancing a dull sky a breeze. It detects the sky in your photo and creates a gorgeous mask automatically. Simply select from one of the over 200 included skies or import your own. Sky Swap AI combines magical machine learning with amazing curated skies to remove the need for complex masks and layers needed in other apps.

A Note of Video Card Requirements

On Windows, HDR 2023 requires a video card that supports OpenGL 4.2, DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.1, and DirectML, and has a minimum of 2GB or VRAM. Most video cards manufactured in the past five years meet these requirements. However, it is essential to have the latest video card drivers installed to unlock these requirements.

This free update adds several new features and enhancements as well as support for new cameras and lens profiles. It also includes bug fixes. It is recommended for all users.

What’s New:

RAW Processing Improvements — The raw processing engine has been upgraded with new internal algorithms to create more natural shadows and fewer edge artifacts.
Improved Refine Mask brush — The Refine Mask brush improves mask edge quality in challenging areas like hair and tree branches. We have improved the algorithm and added new methods for better results.
Encircle Option with Refine Mask — Now, you can use the Refine Mask brush to simply draw around the borders of an object or region to add or subtract from a mask or even create a new mask. It’s perfect for selecting flowers, apparel, and more. You can use it along with the Super Select AI tool to narrow down and improve an AI selection.
Additional Mask AI Options — We have made two new options for Mask AI to make it easier to make masks of the foreground and background in photos of people and animals.
Improved Scroll Wheel — Now, you can control your zoom, pan, and tool options simultaneously with the mouse scroll wheel. It’s a whole new natural way to work.
New Cameras — Added support for the Nikon Z 8.

What’s New:

AI automatically detects the sky and creates a high-quality mask to blend in with a new sky.
Includes over 150 high-quality curated skies that run the gamut from fluffy clouds to storms and sunsets. It even includes night skies and Aurora Borealis.
Have your amazing skies? You can import them into Sky Swap AI and use them automatically.
The mask generated by Sky Swap AI is easily adjusted to allow you to blend into an existing sky or completely replace it.
You can also adjust the horizon and rotation of the sky. Even flip it to match the direction of light.
Sometimes, you don’t want to replace a sky completely; you want to blend in some additional clouds, for example. Sky Swap AI gives you everything you need to blend a new sky realistically with an existing one.
Automatically match the foreground color to the mood of the new sky. You can manually control the color and tone of the sky and foreground to match.
When your photo contains water in the foreground, like a lake or sea, you can add a realistic reflection.
Add motion blur to the sky to simulate a long exposure.
Local adjustments let you burn and dodge, adjust color, sharpness, and more anywhere in your foreground.
Crop your final work to any needed size.
Retouching tools help you remove distractions and dust from the foreground.
Powerful masking tools, including AI masks, make it easy to apply an adjustment to a region or adjust the mask of the sky.
Print your photos in a fully color-managed workflow and preview how they will look with soft-proofing.
Sharing your photos is essential, and Sky Swap AI includes flexible export tools for one or hundreds of photos. You can control the size, type, and name of the files you export.
Batch Processing — Put the AI to work for you by batch-processing an entire folder of photos, Perfect for real estate. You can even batch process from Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic or Capture One.

Re-editable Smart Photos for Adobe® Lightroom® Classic — Now you can re-edit your adjustments made in ON1 Sky Swap AI, maintaining your non-destructive workflow with Adobe Lightroom Classic. From Lightroom, you can send photos to ON1 Sky Swap AI, where you can retouch and enhance. The results roundtrip back to Lightroom as a normal Photoshop PSD where you can view and export them. If you want to adjust your settings made in ON1 Sky Swap AI, simply send it back to Sky Swap AI, and all your settings are still there and adjustable.
