How to install and access an ON1 Texture Pack:
The process of installing a ON1 Texture pack is the same as the steps above. Simply drag the ON1 Texture pack (.ONpreset file) onto the Photo Raw application icon to install it (or refer to the steps above).
In this example, we have installed the "Frank Salas Signature Textures", but all of the ON1 Texture packs we provide and textures you have installed manually thru the ON1 Extras Manager are accessible in two places. Once you have successfully installed an ON1 Texture Pack or installed your own files thru the Extras manager, you will be able to access the textures in both the Layers and Effects modules.
How to access textures within the Layers Module:
Please note, you will be able to access textures, borders and backgrounds that you have received and installed as part of our ON1 Loyalty Rewards program or have installed yourself thru the ON1 Extras Manager from within the Layers module.
To access textures in the Layers module, click on the "Extras" Tab within the Quick View Browser, My Extras > Textures.
To add the texture to your image, simply click on the texture you want to use and select the "Add as a Layer" option to add this as a separate layer in your layer stack:
How to access Textures within the Effects Module:
You will be able to access all of your Textures (installed from a .ONpreset pack or your own textures installed thru the ON1 Extras Manager) within the Effects module with the filter options pane of the "Textures" filter.
First, simply open an image in the Effects module, click the "Add Filter" button and then choose the "Texture" filter:
Once you have added the Texture filter to your filter stack on the right, you will be able to select the texture category within the "Category" drop down menu on the right. In this example, we will need to click the "Category" drop down menu and choose the "Frank Salas Signature Textures":
After selecting the "Frank Salas Signature Textures" category, you will be able to select the texture within this category that you want to apply to your image within the "Texture" drop down menu:
How to install your own texture, backgrounds or border files thru the ON1 Extras Manager:
You will be able to install your own files thru the ON1 Extras Manager. All files installed thru the ON1 Extras Manager are accessible within the Layers and Effects modules. To install your own files thru the Extras Manager, make sure you are in the Browse module, and go to "File > Manage Extras":
This will bring up the ON1 Extras Manager. You will be able to add, remove, rename, delete and manage your preset Categories as well as install your own files here. Previous versions of our program's Extras Manager will not have all of the options across the top of the ON1 Extras Manager (shown below):
In this example, we will be installing JPEG files that can be used as textures. However, the process for installing your own backgrounds or borders files is exactly the same. Since we want to install these files as textures, simply click on the "Textures" Tab at the top of the ON1 Extras Manager window and then on the "Import" button to choose the files you want to install:
After clicking on the "Import" button, you will need to navigate to the files that you want to install, select all of the files and choose "Open":
After clicking "Open" you will need to choose what Category you want these textures to be imported to or create a new Category for the textures you are installing. For this example, we create a new Category:
You will then be prompted to enter a name for this category. In the example below we have named the new category "My Test Textures":
The program will install these files into the new "My Test Textures" Preset Category. When it is finished, click the "Close" button.
This completes the process of installing your own files thru the ON1 Extras Manager. Once you have completed, these steps you will be able to access these Textures within the Effects module's Texture Filter or within the Layers module under "My Extras > Textures".
How to Install LUTs thru the ON1 Extras Manager:
Please note, LUTs are a brand new feature that was added in the 2018.5 update. LUTs are not available in any ON1 program prior to the Photo RAW 2018.5 update. To ensure you are running the most up to date version of Photo RAW 2018.5, please refer to the Release Notes page.
You will be able to install your own LUTs (.cube or .3DL) files thru the ON1 Extras Manager.
To do so, please go to "File > Manage Extras" to bring up the ON1 Extras Manager and then click on the LUTs tab:
To install your own LUTs, click on the "Import" button show above and then navigate to the files that you want to install (.cube or .3DL). In the example below, we have navigated to the .cube files we want to import, once selected click "Open":
You will then be prompted to chose the Category you want to install the LUTs to, or create a new Category for these LUTs. In this example, we have created a new "My Test LUTs" Category:
Once you have chose your Category, click "OK" and the program will install the files. A dialog box will appear when this process has completed:
Click "Close" to complete the process of installing your own .cube LUT files. You will then be able to access these LUTs within the Effects module.

After selecting the "My Test LUTs" Category, you will be able to choose the specific LUT that you want to use within the filter options on the right under the "LUT" drop down menu shown below:
How to organize and create nested preset Categories within the ON1 Extras Manager:
We have added a new features to the ON1 Extras Manager in the 2018.5 update. This update will allow you to manage your preset names and create nested preset categories within the ON1 Extras Manager. This is extremely useful if you have a lot of unorganized preset categories installed. To get started, simply to go "File > Manage Extras" to bring up the ON1 Extras Manager.
In the example below, there are multiple preset categories from Photomorphis. We will be able to all of the Photomorphis presets under one category. To do this, simply click on one of the categories and drag it onto the category you want this category to appear under:
Simply repeat this process for all of the other preset categories that you want to appear under this single category. In the example below, we have consolidated all of the Photomorphis preset categories and have renamed the category to "All Photomorphis Presets":
Once you have finished organizing your presets within the ON1 Extras Manager, these changes will appear when navigating thru you Presets within the Quick View Browser on the left:
