Creating a Moody Portrait

Create stylistic and moody portraits inside of ON1 Photo RAW. Learn how to take your portrait to creative heights using different tones and filters. You can easily find your photos inside of Browse and then compare groups of similar shots using compare view mode. Once you’ve culled through your selections and found your favorite, head into Develop to start creating a tonality for your photo. After giving your photo a basic look, use filters inside Effects to bring your moody portrait to life.

A couple go-to filters for creating moody looks are Grunge and Bleach Bypass. Grunge is a great filter for moody portraits because it darkens them and gives them a dark, grungy, industrial look. Bleach Bypass works to desaturate and create contrast in your shot, a great recipe for a moody portrait.
