Install Instructions
Step 1 - Download:

Download the installer. The download will automatically begin and be saved to your Downloads folder:

Make sure to wait for the download to fully complete before clicking on the installer.

Step 2 - Install:

Install the program. If you are on a PC, we recommend temporarily disabling your antivirus prior to running the installer, once you have done so please right-click on the .exe file and choose "Run as Administrator" to launch the installer. If you are on a Mac, simply double-click on the installer to launch it.

You will have the option to keep or remove any previously installed ON1 programs on your machine when installing ON1 Effects 2019.

Mac Users: 

When the download is fully complete, simply double-click on the "ON1_Effects_2019.dmg" file:

Next, double-click on the "ON1 Effects 2019.pkg" file to launch the installer:

macOS

• The application is installed in the ON1 Effects 2019 folder in the Applications folder.
• All plug-in files for supported host applications (such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Apple Photos and Photoshop Elements) found during the installation process will be installed automatically. You will see a summary of installed plug-ins at the end of installation.
• If a previous version of the ON1 Effects is found, you have the option of maintaining or removing it.
• Extras, presets, caches, etc from previous versions will automatically be migrated.
• Support files are installed into /Library/Application Support/ and ~/Library/Application Support/ folders.
  
  
  

Windows Users: 

When the download is complete, simply right-click on the "ON1_Effects_2019.exe" file and choose "Run as Administrator" to launch the installer.

Windows

• The application is installed in the ON1 Effects 2019 directory in the ON1 directory in the Program Files directory.
• All plug-in files for supported host applications (such as Photoshop, Lightroom and Photoshop Elements) found during the installation process will be installed automatically. You will see a summary of installed plug-ins at the end of installation.
• If a previous version of ON1 Effects is found, you have the option of maintaining or removing it.
• Extras, presets, caches, etc from previous versions will automatically be migrated.
• Support files are installed into \ProgramData\ON1\ and \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ON1 directories.
• The Microsoft C++ 2015 or Universal Runtime is required. The installer will install this if it is missing on your computer.
  
  

Activation

Step 3 - Activate:

After the installation is complete, launch the program and begin editing. You'll see options to buy or sign-in on the top-right side of the application.

Your copy of ON1 Effects 2019 is registered to the email address that you entered when checking out on the ON1 website. After downloading and installing the current version, you will be able to sign in to activate the program.

It is absolutely critical that you are using the same email address and password that you use to sign in to your ON1 User Account on our website when signing in to activate ON1 Effects 2019. 

If you are receiving a -7 error during activation, this indicates you are not entering the correct password that is associated with your ON1 User Account. If you do not remember your ON1 User Account password, you will be able to reset this on the Login Page.
