NoNoise AI 2021 is the best noise reduction software for photography. Quickly remove noise and get the sharpest details in your photos with AI-powered NoNoise AI. ON1 NoNoise AI intelligently removes all the image noise while intelligently recovering and enhancing the details. It integrates into your workflow by supporting common photo editors and file formats, including saving DNG raw files that maintain the full tonal and color range.
Below you will find steps on how to launch NoNoise as a standalone and through the various apps that support ON1 plugins.
NoNoise AI Workflow Recommendations
The advanced AI neural networks behind NoNoise AI work at the deep raw level. They are trained to detect and reduce the noise before the raw data is even converted to a photo, which prevents the noise from propagating further up in the image processing pipeline. It can better tell what is noise versus small details. This helps maintain sharper details and reduce false color.
Because NoNoise AI works best at the raw image level, we recommend that you process your images in NoNoise before you apply basic editing (exposure, color balance, etc.) or finish editing. Ideally, you want to work with the raw data as much as possible. Processing non-raw files, even high-resolution, 16-bit formats like PSD files or TIFFs, won't benefit as much from the noise-reduction capabilities in NoNoise as raw files will.
When you're using ON1 Photo RAW, it is best to send the original raw photo to NoNoise AI.
NOTE: If you use Lightroom Classic or Capture One you can send DNGs to NoNoise AI from within those apps, which lets you preserve the fidelity of the raw files. When using other editing apps, we recommend processing the original raw files in the standalone version of NoNoise AI, saving them as a DNG, and then opening (or importing) them into your editing app.
NoNOISE AI 2021 Standalone app:
1. Click the Open Photos Button
2. Navigate to your image/folder location to select an open image.

Once you have launched NoNoise from the right-click Send to>Other application for the first time, it will appear in your list to Send to>:
Photoshop:
We recommend opening the RAW file directly into the standalone application for best results. Photoshop will apply ACR settings to a RAW file when opened into Photoshop and the image will already have PS noise reduction and sharpening applied when the image opens in Photoshop.
(The original RAW file cannot be directly edited once the image has opened in Photoshop)
1. You can launch the plugin from the File>Automate menu (to apply results to a new layer)
2. Or from the Filters>ON1: NoNoise AI 2021 (to apply results to current layer)
Lightroom Classic CC:
NOTE: If you use Lightroom Classic or Capture One you can send DNGs to NoNoise AI from within those apps, which lets you preserve the fidelity of the raw files. When using other editing apps, we recommend processing the original raw files in the standalone version of NoNoise AI, saving them as a DNG, and then opening (or importing) them into your editing app.
You will find the plugin located under the File>Plugin Extras menu in Lightroom:
