Installing the latest versions of our Apps does not remove or overwrite previous versions of our plugins in Photoshop or Lightroom.
If you want to remove previous versions of our plugins from showing up in Photoshop or Lightroom you can remove older plugins from the following locations on your Mac computer.
Make sure all apps are closed and not open prior to removing plugins
Photoshop:
Navigate to the following directory on your Mac to remove older Photoshop plugins from the System Library location:
First, to more easily find your MacHD, you may need to enable the Finder Preferences to 'Show these Items on the desktop' You'll want to check 'Hard Disks'
MacintoshHD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC
Select the previous version plugins that you want to delete or remove.
*Note you will be prompted to enter your computer's admin password to remove the files
Lightroom:
Navigate to the following directory on your Mac to remove older Lightroom plugins from the hidden User Library:
(*Note this is a different hidden location than the System Library for Photoshop plugins)
In the Finder, click on the GO menu while holding down the Option key on your keyboard to reveal the hidden User Library.
Goto the following locations in the hidden User level Library:
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/External Editor Presets
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Modules
Select the previous version plugins that you want to delete or remove.
