Capture One DNG Colors Do Not Match Original RAW files using
ON1 Plugins
Problem:
When I do a noise reduction in On1 and export a DNG, it always appears very saturated in Capture One. Is there a way to fix this?
Answer: (Until Capture One fixes it)
Capture One ignores the metadata tags in the DNG that tells it how to handle the base curve and color primaries. What is happening is Capture One puts their own on top of that which leads to higher contrast and color. Basically the raw correction is getting applied twice.
You can fix it by going into the Base Characteristics pane and changing the ICC profile to Adobe>DNG File Neutral and the Curve to Linear Response.

As a plugin we can’t set those values unfortunately for Capture One. Also keep in mind we are talking about three different raw engines, so each will interpret the photo slightly differently as well.
