Video Card Requirements for ON1 Photo RAW 2023 and ON1 2023 Apps
At ON1, we strive to build amazing new solutions to photographers’ problems. This means that we are often at the tip of the spear for research and technologies. To enable these solutions, the system requirements needed to run our software change from time to time.
Make Sure you've installed our latest update for ON1 PHOTO RAW 2023 from HERE
With our 2023 generation of products, we take advantage of some of these new technologies including Vulkan and DirectML. These technologies are widely supported on video cards (GPUs) manufactured in the past five years.
However, to unlock them, you may need to install the latest drivers.

Check To See If Your GPU Supports Vulkan: HERE
Updating Your Drivers:
macOS — Simply enable the auto-update in your preferences. It is always recommended to use the latest version of macOS that your computer will support. This will include the latest drivers for your hardware.
Windows — Generally, each video card manufacturer will provide a diagnostic tool that will identify and download the latest video card driver for your device. Here are links to these tools.
Using the direct download from the manufacturer will guarantee the latest driver. Using the computer manufacturer’s utility or the built-in Windows update may not provide you with the latest driver. Note that some computers, generally laptops, may not allow you to install the latest driver. This is a decision controlled by the computer manufacturer. You may contact their technical support for help.
If you don’t know the manufacturer of your GPU or need more help with configuring which GPU to use, see this article.
