What is going on?
I recently "upgraded" to On1PhotoRAW2023
I have the following image that I cannot remove the edits from.
However, if I look at the same image in PhotoRAW2022, apart from receiving a warning that it cannot display the edits from the later program, I can clear all the edits from the image.
Image (after RESET) in 2022
Same image in PhotoRAW2023
No matter what I do, I cannot return the image to its unedited state in PhotoRAW2023

did you try to delete the on1 sidecarfile?

If that doesn't work I would make a copy of the raw file using the Finder/Windows Explorer to somewhere outside of your photo library so the program doesn't see it. Back in the program delete the file to clear both all sidecar files and its database entry. Now you can move the copy back in place so the program will see it as a brand new file.

Why doesn't "Reset" do the same thing in each edition of the program?
In 2023 it resets the crop but doesn't remove all the edits.

I haven’t had any problems doing complete resets in v 2023. So it might relate to the driver et cetera. I’m on a Mac.

I'm on Windows10 with latest video driver, and I've not experienced any problems previously.
In both 2022 and 2023 there is a button labelled "Reset All" amd it appears to work differently between the two versions.
Why?I cannot copy the photo file - it's the same image in both cases.

I cannot copy the photo file - it's the same image in both cases.
What does that mean? If you open that file in a photo viewer OUTSIDE of photo raw, is it the original file or is it damaged?

Opening the raw file in another developer program shows it to be undamaged.

Again, in Finder/WE duplicate the image file then. That will create a brand new file not in the program's database. You don't even have to quit the program first. This will give you a clean, unedited by either program version, copy of the file for testing.
Without actually seeing your file it's hard to say exactly what is going on. Reset All works for me exactly the same in both 2022 and 2023.

If you want to post your edited raw file with its .on1 sidecar file for me to download I'll be glad to try it on my system to see what's going on.

If using an NVIDIA video card, remember to go to NVIDIA control panel and add the settings for on1, pointing to the 2023 version. That fixes most of the issues.
Also, if you reverted back to a previous driver in the original release, try the latest studio driver.

I am using an AMD 560 video card with most up to date driver.

Do you still have the clip tool selected when you try the reset?

My version acts exactly the same way Brian. I go to History then use the Revert button and it's back to the unedited photo.

I have tried copying the image using the "Duplicate" command in both 2022 and 2023.
No tools are selected. In 2022 I get a clean, unedited image which I can edit and clear edits by pressing "Reset All", whereas in 2023 I see the same edit and clicking "Reset All" does not restore the image to its unedited state.
"Reset All" in 2023 never returns the image to its unedited state.A "Check for updates" in both programs shows them to be up to date.

Brian, you’re going to have to work with tech-support on this. Reset all works just fine for me and many other people. Whatever is happening is unique to your system.

Whenever I've had this sort of problem in the past it's been the video card driver, but I've recently updated the driver to the latest release.
