I have used On1 for along time and gave up using LR several years ago. I had good luck with 2022.5 (except for occasional loss of edits). It was a solid tool for me. 2023 is getting blasted in the reviews. Despite an improved feature set, people are unhappy with bugs, performance and some deficiencies in the AI model. I know ON1 is a small shop, but I think they have to look at their pre-release testing/Beta testing going forward to avoid the bad press/ poor user first experience. I think it destroys good will and cant help sales. Perhaps opening beta to a wider audience will help. Adobe seems to be eating On1s lunch and recent LR releases have mimicked On1 features and seems to be more stable (probably due to a better prerelease testing model) .
I expect things will get better (fixes rapidly and repeatedly will help), but I suspect On1 has taken a bit of a hit with with this release. I would focus on a stable and reliable platform for now. The overall feature set and workflow is good.
