I was taught that noise reduction is the first thing you apply to a photo and sharpening last. The idea was that you do not want to post-process a noisy photo.
I am a new user of Photo Raw; I went through Dan Harlacher's Raw Processing 101 Course, and I noticed he makes most of the adjustments and then applies noise reduction and sharpening last. This seems more straightforward, but what do you think about this approach versus applying noise reduction first?
By the way, I found the video series to be an excellent introduction for a new user.
