Problems with on1 resize in Photoshop
AnsweredI was using on1 resize in photoshop as a plugin. I was adding gallery wrap to several images. I did one. Then on the second the extension crashed. When I tried to use it again I got a window with the following message in it:
"could not complete the ON1 Resize Standalone 2021 command because a command was not available."
I figured OK something went wrong with the plugin. Guess I have to set up the plugin again. It has been so long that I don't remember how I did that and all my searches for using ON1 as a PS plugin give me videos about how to use it when it is already installed in Photoshop and working correctly. Nothing about setting up the plugin.
How do I set up the plugin in Photoshop?
This is really frustrating and I have a bunch of work I need to do.

You can get the Resize 2021 user guide from here...

Thanks. I feel silly. I found the user guide and dealt with it. The real struggle is getting crashes and then unknown issues like the error message. Wish it would just keep working. I have some similar issues with a Gigapixel Photoshop plugin. When this kind of thing happens, a 15 minute job turns into a much longer one.
There are a few things with ON1 that get me hung up, like settings from a previous job staying set and my not expecting this and failing to checking to set them back to default. ON1 seems to be one of those programs that tries to decide what I am going to want and second guessing me. It always helps if you use a piece of software all the time.

What kind of settings are you referring to?

I was actually trying it out and set a dimension in the dimension box to see how it dealt with the aspect ration. Shut it down and when I opened the extension again to do a gallery wrap, didn't even think it had saved the dimension and would resize it. I added the gallery wrap and it wasn't until I went to print it that I found out that it had changed the size as well. Hadn't thought to check that. I found a little "return to default" button and will be careful to push that often in the future. Also, I was getting so many crashes that I decided to do the next few with the app instead of the extension. It had an image in it I had opened a long time ago also to try it out and I couldn't figure out how to close it. I futzed around and finally did something that let me put in a new image. There is always a learning curve of learning how the app creator thinks about things.
Thanks for the help and good questions.

I think I have it figured out for now, aside from the glitches. I appreciate you help but I think I"m OK onmy own for now.
