  It says they're in the cloud but that still on my desktop when I'm on on one it says the folder is empty

  on1 photo raw 2023 on iMac:  Browse often will not 'see' photos in desktop file, or sometimes the file itself when such are clearly present on desktop.

  Worse, sometimes will delete photo or entire file. (Thank god for my B/U) Happens often enough that I now make and work off duplicates so as not to lose my photo.If go to T/M and resurrect a deleted file that was edited the program will not recognize side-cars or ON1 tag so all editing is poof.

  Any suggestions, similar problems?

  I doubt Photo RAW is spontaneously deleting files from your system. I have never heard of it doing this before and I don't know how it can do that without the user telling it to do so.

  There is something going on with your system. I am able to recover both the image file and its .on1 & .xmp sidecar files from my Time Machine backups.

  Which iMac and OS version are you running? What are its specs?

  Have you tried the Delete Settings feature? It is known to solve many kinds of problems when the program starts misbehaving. If that doesn't fix the problem the next step is to Reset ON1 Photo RAW per the same article.

  Well it is occurring w/o me hitting delete. I maybe doing something, but not voluntarily deleting. I was running Big Sur, but upgraded since Thanksto Monterey thinking may be OS problem. Current OS and Graphics Card info attached. Independent of deletion program I am not infrequently getting 'writing error' notices.

  Your system more than meets the specs, there shouldn't be any problem as far as the hardware goes.

  I'm not clear on what you mean by "photo or entire file". Each photo is in its own file, they are one and the same.

  What exactly are you doing when this happens? Is it reproducible?

  Browse often will not 'see' photos in desktop file, or sometimes the file itself when such are clearly present on desktop. Can you post some screen shots showing your Desktop and another showing Photo RAW's Browser screen when it isn't displaying everything on your Desktop please? It's helpful if we can see what you see.
