On1 settings lost from pics in moved folder
Answered-
Do you use the option to save your edits in .on1 sidecar files? Are those files in the folder you recovered? If they are, the edits should still be there.
If you do not use the sidecars you may have lost them permanently unless you've got a backup of your LaCie drive you can restore from.

Hi Brian
I’m not sure if I’m using side car files, I’ll look in options (is this where it’s located)?
However I have noticed that when dragging images to different folders inside ON1 that a few files move simultaneously for each pic.0 -
That file count of what is being moved is all I need to know. It does mean that sidecar files — .xmp and/or .on1 — are being moved.
You would have had to turn that feature off yourself as the program's default is to use them You'll find the setting at Preferences > Files > Sidecar options.
Have you tried opening one of the images in the Editor to see if the edits are truly gone of if the Browser just isn't displaying them correctly?
Have you gone through the Delete Settings File process yet?

So, I opened a file and the settings were not remembered.
I then moved the file to another folder and 3 files were moved.
I then performed the delete settings process
Nothing helped, though I did notice a number of unknown write errors when opening folders, though this has stopped now0 -
Update
I just processed another pic from scratch. Exported ok, but when I clicked DONE none of the settings were saved.0 -
The next step would be to use the Reset ON1 Photo RAW command, in the same dialog as Delete Settings. After that would be a restore from a backup prior to the folder disappearing from the drive.

I've done the Reset ON1 command and that's restored virtually all the file edit settings.
I didn't restore the backup
Out of interest how often do you suggest running the backup routine?
Im currently set up at once a week
Thanks for your help!

As often as you feel comfortable. I don’t run it very often myself but then I do a complete back up of my entire photos drive every single day.
