Export of cropped images with transparent backgrounds
Hello,
I get reproducible errors, when exporting some images with transparent backgrounds with ON1 Photo RAW 2023 (version 17.0.2.13102) on Windows 10 (Nvidia RTX 2060 with 12 GB, newest Nvidia driver 527.56)
The TIFF-images have been created with another program and are shown well in the Photo RAW browser. I made some develop steps (Tone and Color) and used the Crop-Tool to resize the images.
Then I exported the images as TIFF files (8 bit, sRGB, LZW and uncompressed, preserve transparency, no resize or other special options).
(1) But there is no transparency anymore in the exported images, all transparent backgrounds are white
(2) on the other side, when I export the images as PSD-files, everything is okay and backgrounds are transparent
I think that there is a problem with cropped images. When I remove the crop settings and export the entire uncropped images, all backgrounds are transparent as they should. Regardless if TIFF or PSD.
And even when I rename the file from export (1) and import it from another folder, Photo RAW shows a white backgound as other graphic programs also do.
Does anyone know this error and how to avoid it?
ciao holger

This is something you'll have to address with Tech Support.
I found this article which may help somewhat. I don't know how your original file was created or what you did to it so it may or may not apply.

Interesting article, thank you.
But it must be something else here, because in the meantime I have also generated this error with a native CR2 file. I only made some tone edits and created a transparent background.
So, I will contact Tech Support.
