Yes you can. Photo RAW can open jpegs, tiffs, psds, dngs, and pngs as well as RAW files.

You don't save a RAW format. Your camera does that. Photo RAW's edits are stored in an internal database and in a .on1 sidecar file associated with the image being edited regardless of file type.

Not trying to be argumentive, but If that's the case, why am I getting this whenever I try to open a JPG?  I can open this file and others in 2022 but not in 2023.  As far as I can tell, the preferences for both 2022 and 2023 are the same.  The problem may not be an On1 issue, but some configuration I've not set, but that begs the question, why in 2023 and not 2022 by all appearances preferences are the same in 2022 and 2023

Try doing the Delete Settings function. That is known to clear up odd behavior in the program. https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049641431-Delete-Settings-File

You might also check the corrupt files log at ~/Library/Application Support/ON1/CorruptFiles.log. It is a text file you can edit or just delete. The program will rebuild it if needed.

Did not find that an ON1/Corruptfiles.log had been created.  But then I thought, "what if the program has been instructed not to open certain file types?  So I went to Preferences, and in the files, folder found a line "File Format" that was set to PSD (Supports Layers).  When I changed the selection to "JPG (No Layers)" that too did not resolve my issue

That was pure coincidence. That setting affects exporting not opening files. I’m glad it’s working for you though. You might want to download user guide and read through it learn what all of those settings are for.

As it turned out, the issue wasn't resolved.  Solving another related to permissions, I discovered ON1 Photo Raw 2023 did not have permissions for my external drive.  As it turned out, I had several programs that didn't have disk permissions for my external hard drive.  For reasons unknown to me, Photo Raw 2022 apparently was installed, giving it disk access permissions to my external drive.  Once I re-configured my system privacy permissions allowing ON1 Photo Raw 2023 access to my external drive where I had saved my images, ALL MY RAW AND JPG IMAGES OPENED WITHOUT ISSUE, and I could manipulate them in ON1 PHOTO RAW 2023 and save the modified image.  For anyone experiencing a similar issue using a MAC, I'd recommend checking disk permissions in SYSTEM SETTINGS/PRIVACY & SECURITY/FULL DISK ACCESS.  It seems to have resolved my issue.

The link is invalid. Just post the screenshot here instead of somewhere else.

I would also recommend that you move this to the Windows forum where other Windows users are more available for additional help. Mac users are not likely to be able to offer much help on a Windows system problem.
