You're probably going to have to wait for a response from tech support. Not too many of us are still running 2021 and I don't have Photoshop to do any testing with, sorry.

It doesn't hurt to try delete settings. Open Photo Raw as standalone to do it.

Also, can you use Photo Raw as standalone until tech support replies?

Thanks for getting back to me.

I'll try deleting the settings.  I am not very familiar with Photo raw.  I am not a photographer.  the images I am dealing with are scanned images of artwork.  We are artists. not photographers.

Is 2021 obsolete?  Cold that be the problem?  I'm not used to software I need to buy every year.  That makes ON1 a pretty expensive investment.

If you're scanning, make sure you're not using grey scale. Photo Raw is only compatible with RGB images.

2021 is 2 years old, but it should still work as expected. You just won't have the newest features available.

I'm a little confused about Photo Raw.  I've never looked at it not using raw images.  Not even sure how to open it.  Any pointers?  I actually read something on one of the ON1 FAQs or somewhere that said something about the plugins not installing with photo raw.

Everything we have is RGB.  Just got an email from support saying they won't be able to get back to me for from 48-72 hours.  For an expensive piece of software that needs constant updating, that is pretty poor support, especially for software as finicky as this.

I can make gallery wraps myself, but it was really nice to have ON1 do it.  I may just have to give it up.

    Thanks for staying in touch.

I just gave up and bought a 2024 version of this software.  It installed the extension, but when I try to create a gallery wrap, give it the width and save it, it adds the wrap but when I save it, the wrap is invisible.  I wondered if I had selected the right layer and did it again three times, selecting the layer with the image on it and still got a transparent wrap.  Any advice for that issue?

When the extension is open it shows the wrap with the reflected image on it.  When I save it, it is transparent.

    Thanks,

Pointers? Yes, get the user guide since you clearly don't know where to start.

The software doesn't need constant updating, the version you have will work just as it is forever.

Your original post says 'standalone', now you're talking about plugins. You're going to have to provide much more information on what you're trying to do if you want help.

Just checked the user guide and 2021 does work as a plugin, it's versions 2022 and newer that don't have the plugin ability. however, I would suggest that you just open it standalone instead of fighting to open it with Photoshop.

First, there is no 2024 version.

Second WHAT SOFTWARE DID YOU BUY???

Sorry, it is the 2023 version of on1 resize. I'm using it to add gallery wraps to an image.  I have used it over the last couple of years, maybe 75 times and it always worked great.  Had to reinstall my system and then reinstalled on1 resize.  It seemed to work fine as a Photoshop plugin but every time I clicked "done" it crashed photoshop.  When I couldn't get it to work, I bit the bullet and bought the 2023 version and installed it.  It worked fine and didn't crash Photoshop but the gallery wrap was transparent.  Tried it over and over.

I hope I didn't upset you by complaining about the software, it has just been 5 hours now trying to get it to work and it is really frustrating to hear that I may not hear back with help for 72 hours.  I appreciate the support I have gotten here.

If anyone knows why I am getting transparent wraps, I would love to hear.  I an using it exactly as I have used it for years.

It is good to know that the 2021 version should work, but it just hasn't for me.

I don't have Resize 2023 to test. All I can suggest at the moment is that if you're calling Resize as a plugin and it's not working as you expect, try it as a standalone and see if you get the correct results. That might point to where the problem is.

Also, I posted a link where you can get the user guide above. Make sure you're calling the app properly from photoshop.

I read the user guide and it only told me what I already know, which is how to do it not how to deal with things when they don't go right.  I am no longer getting transparent wraps.  I think it had to do with ON1 getting confused by some photoshop layers.  The image is not flat.  I joined ON1 + in hopes of getting some assistance more quickly.  I sent another email to ON1 but want to see if anyone here can help.

Now am having two new issues.

The wrap was dimmed even when I set it not to be dimmed.  So I poked around to see it there was something else going on.  I don't know what I did, but now ON1 is changing the resolution of my image.  When I go back to Photoshop I can change it back but that throws the width of the wrap all off.  Also, it didn't changed resolution accurately and my dimensions when setting it back are not quite right.  I clicked on reset and cancel and the resolution change issue persists.

Does anyone here know how to deal with these issues.  This is all many hours and a few hundred dollars after I started trying to create a gallery wrap which used to be very simple.  I've done it probably 100 times with no hitch until the current problems developed  I'm hoping ON1 + will get me a quicker answer from ON1.  Hoping someone here might be able to help.  Time is a big factor in getting this to work.

    Thanks,
