Missing Highlighting of Posts I Have Read
I used to get a blue highlight on the name of a post that I have read. That highlight persisted between visits. Now the highlight disappears when I log off and log back on again.
OK, maybe not. I created this post, signed out, and then signed in again and it is still highlighted. Maybe the highlight goes away when someone else posts? That does not seem to be the way it had been working.
What is the rule?

No idea. We moderators have no control over how the forum works. Kahlie at ON1 would be the only one how could answer you.

Lou, you piqued my curiosity on this because I have never seen the blue highlights. After exploring the forum a bit further, however ….. to try and see what I was missing, I discovered that (on my iPad) blue highlights are visible when browsing posts in the sub-fora (e.g. General Discussion) but not in the Recent Activity (Community) screen (which is the one I usually use). Might this explain what you are (not) seeing?

The blue highlights are in the 3 support forums I use (including this one). They used to (a week or two ago) turn blue for an entry that I had visited. Now there is an issue and there does not seem to be a "rule" that is controlling them. I saw this one as blue when I just signed in even though there were responses that I had not seen. It used to be that once I read a topic it turned blue and stayed blue even if others had added comments. The ON1 Plus forum works differently. It has a colored dot that appears in front of topics I have not read. It goes away after I read a topic. I am not sure if the dot comes back if someone else adds a post after I have read the topic.
That is why I would like to know the rules and also would like to see this forum and the Plus forum both work the same. These "features" were added for some reason, but if users do not know how they work, there is no benefit being derived from them.

I can’t add anything more to this then, sorry. As Rick suggests, your best bet is to submit a request to customer service and ask them.

OK, thanks to you both for your input. At this point I prefer to have support focus on the product, not the website. It isn't a big deal, but I might rattle a cage or two in a few months.
Besides it seems to be working "normally" again. The blue highlights are surviving logout/login as they used to. And they do not go away when someone else responds to a post. Again, the same as previous behavior.
It might be nice to be able to highlight a post that I have read and, IN ADDITION, know which ones have entries later than the date/time I last read that post.
