Grey out image in browse

In Browse, you're looking at previews while in Edit you're looking at the actual image. Best guess is that the preview hadn't been created yet.  In browse if you can select a greyed out image and then selecting 'Refresh preview' from the Photo menu makes it show up then everything is working, it's just slow to update.

Rick it's not being slow to update. All the photos load within a second in browse expect the odd one. Refresh does nothing . I have greyed out images that have been that way for weeks and stay that way no matter how many times the program is opened and closed ! . My PC is very fast  AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor with 16GB ram .

Is it possible they are damaged somehow? Would you care to share one of the problem files for us to look at? You'll have to upload it to a web sharing service like Dropbox or WeTransfer then post the download link here.

The photos are fine and I can edit them with no problem. They just show as greyed out in browse. One of them I did an edit on days ago and it still showed grey in browse. I just reset the edit back and now it shows fine in browse.
So I have just done an edit on another image that was greyed out and then I reset it. Again its no longer greyed out in browse by doing that. I guess that is the fix but it's not good having to do that and it would seem to be a bug.

It is hard to say, without seeing a file for myself before the fix.

Another thing that you can try is the Delete Settings feature.

I checked your photo and it showed up in my Browse immediately. So, nothing wrong with the photo.

Your preview should show up eventually. You can try to force it by either using 'Refresh Preview' or by clicking outside of that folder and back in again to force a re-read of the files. If it still doesn't show up, I'd talk to ON1 tech support next and ask them about it.

When a transfer RAW images into ON1 2023 one in about 50 is greyed out in browse with a bar across it.

Happens to me as well. It happened frequently in the past versions of ON1 and only recently have I seen them back again. Seems to be a problem with loading of the files.

I can usually fix it by refreshing the preview.

This happens too many times, 2022, 2023, even if I can edit them.

Mac Mini, Ventura and previous Mac OS (Monterey etc)

As I got last week a message from ON1 survey, I said my opinion: improve features before add more AI fakes.

I love the software but all these little bugs need to be fixed. I can name others.

If you think there are bugs, then you should be reporting them to tech-support.
