ON-1 Photo Raw - "Export" (Copy) original to Folder along with JPEG Export

I know the first answer is going to be "just physically copy the original" but I hate post processing and the reason I settled on ON-1 Photo Raw is that it cuts down on TONS of work for me.
The final cherry on top would be to completely skip the culling process and just go through all my images with ON-1, when I come across a keeper do the edits and then Export the ORIGINAL RAW and edited version (TIF, JPEG, whatever) to a different location in one motion.
Two birds with one stone - I'm done culling, editing and backing up in 1 shot (pun intended - all I take pictures of are birds)
Surely there's a way to create an Export preset to simply copy the Original RAW...

No there isn't, the purpose of Export is to combine your edits with the RAW and create a new photo from it. Export never copies/moves/deletes the original RAW automatically.
There is however, an option to run a script after export. If you know scripting, I'm sure you could make something like that work.

I just discovered this article. The scripting appears to be able to use simple batch files. If you want to learn, it wouldn't be that hard.

In Browse if you select a raw file the one of the options is to export the original file. So you can set up an export preset to do this along with another export preset to export the edited version as JPG, Tiff etc. Then select all the files you want to export and then in Export select both the presets. You can tweak output destination at this point. Click Export and you should get the original RAW file and a JPG etc of edited file in the export destination(s).
There is one missing feature for this as, in my quick tests, even if one selects create On1 sidecar file this doesn't happen for the exported RAW files, so these are genuinely the original files without taking the edits with them.
If you are intending to cull and edit and then keep your edited files in the original location and just want a backup of the RAW file without the editing information going along in a sidecar with it this may not matter. The edits should be protected by other backups such as system file store backups and On1s own backups.
Not sure if not sending a sidecar with exporting of RAW information is a bug or how it is designed to work. If this is an issue then perhaps you could bug report it.

So I need to edit/develop first, close back to the Browse window and export from there? If I edit first and try to Export, the "Copy Original" loses "Original" as an option:

That's what it looks like, yes.
Also, you do realize that with each setup, you'll get either an Export OR a copy, not both. To do both, you'll need to select 2 different Export options. You can select two at the same time or one after the other, but you need to remember to do it.
Also, you need to select 'create sidecar' if you want to keep the ability to re-edit.

Thanks - I figured out you can select 2 or more export options by accident awhile back.
I'm going to contact ON Support to see if there's some way to enable the "Original" option inside Develop or if a script can be created and run to do it.
Popping back to Browse and Exporting both is not ideal but still far better than a separate culling action.

What might work if I understand what you are trying to do is
- go into edit
- select first photo you like and edit it to your taste
- flag the photo as needing to be exported by picking it, type P
- move to next photo you feel needs to be edited
- repeat until you have gone through all your photos in that folder or want to end the editing session
- go back to Browse
- filter the photos so only the picked ones are visible, do this by clicking on the solid heart icon at the bottom of the Browse screen
- ctrl/cmd A to select them all
- enter Export
- select the Original and JPG export presets and export
- back in Browse with the files all still selected click on the solid heart icon on one of them, this will clear the pick flag from them all so no selected in the next session.
When you have finished editing all the files in the folder you can use Advanced Search to select all the files in the current folder whose Edited status is not true, select all these and then right click on one and select delete, thus culling all the files you rejected in your editing session(s)
At the moment you will then end up with
- RAW files where you were editing from, with edits known to PhotoRAW so you can go back to re-edit
- Copies of RAW files in another folder without the editing information - this may be a bug in that, in my test, even if I chose to include side car files in the export these ones containing the edit information were not exported with the RAW files. I will double check, see what the user guide says and then bug report if necessary
- JPG/Tiff copies of the files with edits applied, depending on how you set up your Export presets these may or may not be in the same folder as the exported RAW files.
