mask alpha channel export
most of my work is video = is it possible to export mask alpha channel RGBA? the reason for this is I can add a gradient quick to an alpha mask or I can get the mask from the JPG and use the white values. then you have to double mask on mask to get a gradient from that.

No, the program does not have any way to export masks.

I don't understand about alpha channel and Photo raw doesn't work with video, but if you wanted a copy of a mask outside of Photo raw, you can do it with a work around. You need two local adjustments, a black and a white. Then use the mask replicate the image.
I did this image from a luminosity mask that way...

Rick, the alpha channel controls, the opacity of the other three channels. It’s what the mask gets loaded into you might’ve heard of RGBa. The a is for alpha.

Thanks Rick and Brian.
if you useing an alpha channel in your masks you have a transparency value. Compared with a lumens mask you have to set the parameters on each mask. for example in On One = I have a steam train and want to add text into the steam. The lumens value & levels centre shift will give you your transparency value. so far its ok. now I use a PNG = text file "mask" I have to set the mask in the layer property so it gets a bit clunky with on one work flow, but still I can process the image layers for the alpha channel. If On one worked in RGB + A then these issues are avoided. compositing is a brease
