Smart Organize Auto Mark question
Hello
I am working analyze my photos with removing duplicated files. when I use Smart Organize and find duplicated files, with Auto Mark option to remove files, result did not mark duplicate files. I checked Auto Mark preference option but result is same. so I manually check mark each about over 10000 photos. I think it's not intend for this function. Please suggest if what I missed.
I'm working on M1 MacBook Pro with MacOS 12.6, Latest version On1 and photos is in external HDD connected USB.
thanks

From page 57 of the User Guide (emphasis is mine):
When you have the Auto Mark option checked at the top of the results window, Photo RAW will mark the photos in each group that it believes should be checked, based on criteria found in the Auto Mark tab of the Preferences window.
Your criteria may not be tight enough for the program to automatically mark your images. There is a Preferences > Auto Mark panel for defining how Auto Mark is to be applied. Page 58 explains the settings.
My recommendation is to read through that section of the User Guide then play with the Auto Mark Preferences to get a feel for them and find what works for your situation.

It looks to me like you are trying to find duplicate files and I'm not sure it is designed for that. I believe its purpose is more to find situations where you've taken 5 shots in 2 or 3 minutes because the light is changing. From my understanding of the manual it would auto mark 4 of those 5 photos. I'm not sure it can find the same file saved in more than one place. You'll have to ask tech support for a more definitive answer.
