work not accessible from 2021 version
I have a couple of shoots saved to desktop folders on my mac book pro well all my work is saved to folders on my desk top as this software has no library like the one on apples aperture software anyway on1 photo raw can no longer see any work saved on the desk top if I go into the folder on the desktop and click on a file the image appears in on1 so I could in theory work on it I'm finding that if I haven't created an album the work will not appear in on 1 pro.

Photo RAW does not have a Library like Apple Photos or Aperture or Adobe Lightroom because it is designed to allow you to browse your entire file structure giving you access to your photos regardless of where they are stored. I'd recommend you use the Pictures folder as that is what it was designed for.
The use of Albums has no bearing on any of this. Albums are simply pointers to where your photos are actually stored.
Please use periods to end your sentences. It has taken me 10 minutes to try and figure out what you are saying because your statements all run together with no indication of where one ends and a new one begins.
I am still unsure of a couple of points.
- Which version of the program are you running?
- Which MacBook Pro model are you running?
If you could post a screenshot showing the problem you are trying to describe it would be very helpful.
Before that however, you should try using the Delete Settings feature. It fixes a lot of odd problems that crop up.

So i'm using the 2021 version the mac book pro is a mid 2012 13" running Mojave.
all of the work I have uploaded go's in folders on the desktop these folders are listed in my catalogs on the left, clicking on one of these will bring up the thumbnails, the problem I have is if I click on airshow nothing happens yet the folder still exists on the desktop and the pictures are in the folder, the other folder holiday 2022 exists on the desktop yet no longer appears in catalogs, clicking on an image in either folder will have the program load and that image appear ready to work on.

Have you tried the Delete Settings function yet?
You did not post a screenshot so I can see what you are seeing.
You REALLY need to structure your writing into readable sentences. Use periods to separate one from the other. I have enough to do without having to translate your writing just to understand what you are trying to tell me.

Ok so this a screen shot showing what I see when I click on the desktop folder
containing images that used to be accessible from on1 photo raw.
If I was to go into the program this folder is not visible, if go into the folder on the desktop and click on any image within the folder it will launch the application and the image will appear in edit.

Thank you for breaking up your sentences. It is much more readable, thanks.
What I really need to see is what you see in Photo RAW after clicking on the Desktop icon. Please show me the entire Photo RAW screen.

Here are a couple other things I'd like you to try.
First, try the Delete Settings function. It will often times fix weird and unexpected problems like this.
Second, if Delete Settings doesn't work try running Disk First Aid feature in Disk Utility.

That is not your desktop, that is an album. click on the second icon down in the far left column at the top of the screen that will take you directly to your desktop. Show me what you see from there please

Hi hard drive on mac book just died so will replace it restore back up and see if I have any joy,
there was no warning I was trying to send the last post to you and it just wouldn't do anything turned it
off at the button went to restart and have a picture of a file with a question mark on it, I have had this before with the mac book I'm using now but a new data cable fixed this one, thanks for your help so far, it will be as much as a couple of weeks before the other one is back up and running and then I will see if on1 photo raw concerns are still a thing.

That sucks but it could easily explain the problem you’ve been having. Got luck with the new drive.
