    Basically, you need to add a layer of color under your image. You can create a color fill layer or use your own texture. This example creates a blue color fill layer and has been dragged below the image layer...

     

    Then, switch back to the upper layer and mask out where you want the color to show through...

     

    There are many ways to create a mask. If you're lucky, Super Select will do it in one shot. Otherwise, you'll need to manually create it, especially if there are fine details to work around.

    If you need more help, it would be handy if you posted a screenshot to see what you're working with.

    Another option would be to create a solid color image then load that into Textures with the Extras Manager. Now you can select that solid color 'texture' and mask it as Rick described above. This eliminates the need to create a new .onphoto file to accomplish this.
