Yes, select all the photos needing the date change then go to Edit > Edit Capture Date… and set the correct date.

I did that and now ALL my photos have the same date and time. How do I undo that please?

I managed to undo with Set to Create Date, but cannot see how it's possible to change the year without affecting day, month and time as well when in batch mode.

I've searched the User Guide and all it says about editing dates is

Edit Capture Date: Let’s you adjust the date captured metadata, including a setting to take account for time zone changes.

That's it. It may not be possible, sorry.

I used an app called File Date Modifier to change the year at the Finder level, but this did not link through to the images themselves in On1. I am therefore trying to remember to change the year after I have edited each image.

I also noted, perhaps for the first time, so it can't have bothered me too much, that dates are displayed US style and times using the 12h clock. This despite the fact that my camera itself has the non-US order and 24h. As I say, this is of no great concern to me since I am used to the US system to some extent. However, for On1 users outside the US, I am surprised there seems to be no Preference in the software to be able to change this. My Mac is set up correctly of course.

File Date Modifier only changed the date that the OS reports for that file's creation data. It does not change any embedded metadata.

The only way I can think of to do this would be with some 3rd party metadata manager or through ExifTool but that would involve writing some batch scripts and the use of Regex terms.

I use the program, A Better Finder Attributes, to change modification dates for files. It can also change EXIF dates by an offset of 20 years, like you would need.

Lately I've just been using the Read Metadata command to get the date corrected. You can do a batch selection to correct everything all at once.

It is some months ago when I made the mistake with my camera settings and I cannot now remember what I did to resolve it. I will take a look at BetterFinder Attributes. Thanks.
