    Gunther,

I have noticed this same issue of presets extremely slow with 2023.1. They will show up but it takes a while.

System: MacBook Pro Max 16” M1, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD. Running the latest version of Ventura.

Have also submitted a ticket on this issue.

    Cheers,

    Stu

This seems to have fixed the issue for me.

    Received this from Tech Support:

For this issue, you may need to delete the ON1 settings file.
Please note that this will not harm any of your images or edits, it simply just clears up issues such as this.

To do this you will need to close ON1 and then while holding down the Shift key on your keyboard proceed to relaunch ON1 and continue holding Shift until a pop-up window appears.
Here you will need to select to delete the settings file for ON1.

After doing so please close ON1, restart your computer and then re-open ON1 to see if this issue persists.

    Cheers,

    Stu

    Thanks Stanford this reply!

I got the same suggestion from support but no improvement!

Then the next step was deleting the 0N1 raw 2023 log but still no better result.

In fact the thumbnails will appear in the end , but it takes at least 3-4 minutes, definitely worse than previously

Deleting the log file has absolutely no affect on the program's performance. It is just a text file. I trash mine on a regular basis.

Have you tried the Reset ON1 Photo RAW command? That is the next step support will recommend after using Delete Settings fails to solve the problem.

A reset was not advised. They first told me to delete settings which didn’t help.

Afterwards , Cody asked to send the RAW2023 text log which was advised to delete and last advice was :

”After consulting with our QA team they have deemed this to be a bug in the software.

They have written up a report and sent it to our development team so that they can begin working on a patch or update to resolve this.

As soon as that patch or update is available for download we will let you know.”

Just wondering : a reset might impact the program or catalogues?

Hi Gunther, Thanks for the update from support. I'm sure this will come again and now we have something to tell others.

Yes, a Reset will delete your Catalogs, Albums, Keywords, basically everything except what is in the .on1 sidecars. It returns the program to the same state as when it was first installed and not yet run.

The Knowledge Base article Delete Settings File explains how it all works.

Meanwhile tested the reset method and no improvement.

I too reported this problem to support for version 2023.1  . I was told this a few days ago just after reporting the problem. "Our development team has created bug tickets for this issue and is actively working to address this as soon as possible in a future update that should be available within the next week or two."
