copying from ssd to desktop

Please may I have thoughts from those with experience? 

Win 11.  Photoraw 2023.  I propose to edit on my desktop saving to a local disk D: and at the end of the session synchronise to an ssd using synchredible.  Taking the ssd with me I intend to edit further on my laptop saving back to the ssd.  When returning to the desktop I will synchronise the ssd to the desktop D: with synchredible and then launch photoraw to continue editing and save direct to D:  Will this be a suitable method?
