deleted cataloged folders reappear

Hello 
I have a problem with cataloged folders from an external device that I no longer have. When I delete the folders from the context menu, they are gone in the current session. When I restart on1, all deleted catalog folders are back.
Does anyone have a solution on how I can finally get rid of these folders.

  You should probably ask tech support about this. The only thing I can think of is to try the Delete Settings File function. I would remove the unwanted Catalog then Quit the program and restart with the Shift key held down to do the settings delete.

  You may have to use the Reset ON1 Photo RAW function. I'm sure that will work as it deletes everything except the edits stored in the .on1 sidecar files. You could then recreate the Catalogs you still use.

  I would still ask tech support first. They may have other ideas.

  Yes, tech support got back to me quickly and provided several options.
  The first option "reset", start on1 with with pressed shift key, did not help. 
  The second option "Clean install", has solved the problem. 
  I would recommend contacting tech support for detailed instructions and backup your presets.
