Trouble installing 2023.1
AnsweredI've downloaded the 2023.1 update (4 times!) to try to update. When I run the downloaded file, it exits immediately without any error message and without updating ON1. I'm using Windows 11 on a Dell desktop. Any idea what may be happening? Any information I can send you to troubleshoot?

The file you download is zipped. When you double-click it it does not run the installer, it expands the zip file so you can get to the installer. You should see a new file with the same name only without the .zip file extension.

Brian I mentioned this on the other post but I'll reply here as well. I have never downloaded a compressed install file from On1. The file downloaded is the install executable file. I guess it may self extract but it does not create another file it just runs and installs the update. Don't know if Mac handles it differently but there are definitely no extracted files, the download is a .exe on Windows. Pedro are you running the install executable as Administrator?

David, you are right. It's been a while since I've actually downloaded the Windows installer but I just double-checked and it is in fact an .exe file for the installer.
Pedro, I'm not sure why you are having problems. There is an article in the Knowledge Base on How To Install ON1 PHOTO RAW 2023 which might help. If it doesn't, you'll have to ask tech support for help.

@David: yes, I ran it also as Administrator with the same results. I finally got a new download, and followed the instructions to run the ccleaner program. It installed well.
Thank you and Brian for the help.0 -
Glad to hear everything is working now.
