This is a duplicate post. You can remove it. I answered in the other thread.

Thank you, Brian! I tried to look for some explanation on what the file did, but didn't find it. It didn't occur to me it would simply autoextract a zip file.

    Best regards,

Typically, self extracting compressed executable files decompress to the same folder where the downloaded file is located. When I execute the downloaded 2023.1 update file, there is no file created. I'd appreciate more information as to what I'm doing wrong.

    thank you,

    Pedro

Yes, the installer should be in the same folder as the downloaded zip file. I do not know what you are doing wrong. You should contact tech support.

I'm a bit confused here. I have never downloaded a compressed file from On1. The file downloaded is the install executable file. I guess it may self extract but it does not create another file it just runs and installs the update.

David, you are right. It's been a while since I've actually downloaded the Windows installer but I just double-checked and it is in fact an .exe file for the installer.

Pedro, I'm not sure why you are having problems. There is an article in the Knowledge Base on How To Install ON1 PHOTO RAW 2023 which might help. If it doesn't, you'll have to ask tech support for help.
