This process is working for me. Would you care to share your logo for me to test with?

Would you also post a screen shot of your Extras Manager > Watermarks window please? When you see the Choose Category dialog with the Add Category… option it is asking you to create a folder within the Watermarks panel of the Extras Manager where it will store your imported logo. It is then displaying an Open File dialog so you can navigate to your png file where you can select it so it gets imported into that Category folder. Here is what mine looks like after walking through this on my system. I added the my logos Category for this exercise.

In the mean time you might want to read through the section of the User Guide on the Extras Manager. It starts on page 9.

The options available are as I indicated above. All are root-level folders on my Mac's boot HD.

Clicking through the tabs across the top there are sensible-looking things in the tabs for Presets and Resize. There's nothing at all in Textures, and all the rest look just like what's shown above for Watermarks. This is with On1 Photo Raw 2023 recently installed. I've previously had 2021 and 2022 installed, as well as a few of the plugins. I've not got 2023 and all plugins installed.

If I click on Import and select a Photologo PNG signature file I get a Choose Category dialog with the options I've described previously. None of those work (I get the crash previously reported), and selecting Add Category fails to add a folder - my guess is that it thinks it needs to create it at the root folder level and lacks permissions to do so, but why is it pointing to this location?

I had a theory that the problem might have stemmed from my having deleted the old On1 PR 2022 folder as well as some other older versions of things to pare everything down to just the 2023 versions. I tested this by deleting the 2023 app and reinstalling it for a clean slate. No effect - still don't have anything sensible for folders in most extras tabs

Weirdly, in the Textures tab, I have been able to add some On1 textures and it prompted me for a category, which it added as shown below.

This gave me the idea of trying to delete the "categories" for Applications, Library, System, and Users in Watermarks so I could start with a clean slate like in Textures. It gave me a warning that "The selected items may be currently in use by other presets, are you sure you want to delete them?". Answering OK, however, failed to remove any of them.

Something is seriously wonky with the install, and removing and reinstalling didn't solve it.

What you area looking at in the Extras Manager is not the root of your boot drive. Those are Categories which have been created inadvertently. I would click on each one of them to insure there isn't anything in them and Delete them.

After that, click the Import button and you'll be asked again to create a New Category. Do that then navigate to your logo png file and select it. It should be placed inside the newly create Category where it will be available as a Watermark.

It is possible there is something about your Photologo file that is causing the crash which would prevent the new Category you wanted to create from actually being created. If you'll make it available for me to download I can try importing to my system and see what happens. If it crashes my system we know where the problem is.

Deleting your old 2022 data has no affect on this.

FYI, all this stuff is in your user data for Photo RAW. You can find it at ~/Library/Application Support/ON1/Extras 2023. Here is what my Watermark folder looks like.

You can manage this stuff manually in the Finder as well. Quit Photo RAW, delete those 4 folder (after insuring they are empty!), create a new folder with the same name you want for your Category then drag a copy of your logo file into it and relaunch the program. You should be able to see it then.

That you can Import a new Texture without problems kind of supports the possibility that it is the .png file from Photologo that is the problem. Please post it somewhere I can download it from. Someplace like Dropbox or WeTransfer then post the download link here so I can get it and try importing to my system.

Update: I've now tried both deleting the settings and a full-blown reset as described here (https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049641431-Delete-Settings-File), to no effect at all. Even a full on nuke (reset) still shows the messed up categories, and quite bizarrely, the imported textures.

I suspect the problem is with the file you received from Photologo as others have reported problems using their files too. https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=photologo

I'd still like to see your .png file to verify this for myself and if it is the file I may be able to figure out why.

I think this is the problem...

Nowhere in Extras should you see ANY of these folders. I'd be careful about deleting them as well. If they really are what they say, you could mess up your PC.

I think you should just send this screenshot to ON1 support and ask them about it.

Steve, post a screenshot showing your Extras 2023 folder contents please. Select one of those 4 folders to show its contents in the screenshot. I still think they were created inadvertently and can be deleted. The macOS wouldn't let them be moved like that as the boot volume is read only for everyone.

Well, this is curious. When I look in my ~/Library/Application Support/ON1/Extras 2023 folder I see only one folder (Textures), and it has only one folder under it (Paper and Canvas Textures). In fact, I've got Extras 2019 (which is empty), Extras 2020 (has Sun Flares and Textures, but both of those are empty), Extras 2021 (has Textures, but that's empty), and Extras 2022 (has an empty Textures folder and a Presets folder with 842 files in it). None of them have the errant Applications, Library, System, or Users folders.

When I poke through the various tabs of the Export Manger looking at each of these errant folders, not one contains anything. I've clicked on them all. When I try to delete them I get this

But clicking OK doesn't delete them.

Here's a glance at all I've got under the ON1 folder (except the one with 842 files). The CorruptFiles.log lists one jpg file which is not one of my signatures. The locale.plist just identifies the language I'm using as English.

The empty tabs in Extras Manager are a reflection of your Extras 2023 folder having just the Textures folder because of your successful import earlier. I'm pretty sure that what we see in the Extras Manager is built by the program when the manager is opened. This is why we can make updates through the Finder and they show up in the program. I know I've manually installed Extras from earlier versions just by copying them into the proper folder for the current version of the program.

This is what I would do. I would delete of all the folders inside Application Support/ON1 with dates of 2021 or earlier. If you are no longer using those versions of the program they are just wasted space. Keep 2022 so 2023 can migrate again if needed. I would also trash the Extras 2023 folder. The program will rebuild it when launched again. That should clean up what you are seeing in the Extras Manager.

The reason the Extras folder is outside all of the different program_version folders is because it is shared between Photo RAW and any plug-in a user might have installed. This is how we can install something in one program and it shows up in the others.

Thanks Steve. It isn't the signature file. I am able to import it through the Extras Manager without any problem.

Try cleaning up your ON1 Application Support folder and see if that doesn't help.

That solved it! My signature imports without errors now!

    Thanks!
