Training on using Super Select 2 new layer option -do these functions exist?
Hi I have penned artwork that is black and white composed of thousands of islands/sections.
I'd like to be able to use super select to automate making a new layer of any island I click on and add it to a group assigned with blending/effect. Is this currently possible? The artwork is high contrast. All the pen work needs to be 100% black, or it should to make the islands perfectly selected without really needing any refinement.
My main intention is to have the islands separated to automatically have a color/gradient applied once added to the effects group.
If AI could scan the entire artwork and separate them into layers automatically, that would be a huge time saver, then I can individually select islands and move them into their own effects/color group.
Thank you for your time, Kurt N.

No, there isn't any way to do this with the AI masking feature. It will identify all the islands and select them as a group, not individually.
