Computer not reading my plug in drive
AnsweredThis happened after an update.
I've two plug in drives, one Verbatim and the other Samsung T7. The Computer will read the Verbatim drive but not the Samsung. I've disconnected the drive etc but still no show. I have also done the delete settings file too, but to no avail. The Samsung drive shows on my computer and I can access it but On1 doesn't recognise it. Can you please help me.

I would check the drive's permissions. Compare the permissions on the Verbatim against the T7 and see if they differ.

I've checked that and it tells me I have custom access on both drives

Custom Access can mean a lot of different things. Basically it says the permissions are not standard without actually telling you what they are. I'm looking for more specific information like read and write access.
Where did you see that? This is what I see when I do a Get Info on my external drive containing my photos.
Check the System Preferences > Files & Folders entry for ON1 Photo RAW 2023. If you are not yet running Ventura your's will look a bit different that what I show below.

Thank you Brian, it worked, I'm so happy. I'm not the best computer geek but your instructions were easy to follow, again thank you. Cheers Marion
