Brushes and Sky Replacement
AnsweredI just edited a photo and used a sky replacement. I wanted to add birds to the scene using the brush tool but the new sky wouldn't show them. I did try to add the birds using the Local tab and setting the feathering to zero and the color to black. I had to duplicate the layer and make a stamped layer and then I could use the brush to add birds. Is there anything I'm missing.

No. You cannot alter the replacement sky. When you paint in the birds they are going to the part of the image being replace by the new sky so they do not show up. What you found for the solution is the way to do it.
