Export module has several options for actions to happen after file is exported including “open in”. See p 217 of User Guide. You should be able to set up an export preset for PhotoAI. User guide can be downloaded from https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206373527-ON1-User-Guides if you haven’t got a copy.

When I send photos to any Topaz app, I usually send "Copy with settings applied" as a TIFF. You only get DNG files returned when you send RAW files over. I prefer to do my cropping and minor retouching and possibly Nonoise/Tack Sharp in Photo Raw first, then integrate and send the edited file.

Russell, Are you using Mac or Windows. I have just tested Send To from Browse to PhotoAI both as original RAW and Tiff. In both cases when I clicked Save Image in Photo Ai there was a Save To option that allowed me to choose the destination folder. Worked both to Original folder and Desktop.

I am on PhotoAI 1.2.8 and can't see any preferences that would hide the Save To option. In the back of my mind is a memory that earlier versions of PhotoAI might not have offered the Save To option when called from an external editor. So if you haven't updated PhotoAI recently, and it is a pain with their weekly updates, then I suggest you upgrade and try again.

If that does still fail on your system then the Export route I originally outlined does work and can be used to send Original RAW files across, though it is possible that original folder doesn't work in this case.

Why not use the Topaz Photo AI plug-in for Photoshop? That way you can send your raw file to it and it will simply return a new layer to the photo you started with. Photo RAW will create a new .onphoto file from the results and it will be in the same folder as the original image.

DT. Will have another look tomorrow as 23:30 here now.

BL, I think what you are saying is what I do just now, problem I feel arises is if you have for example 200 images in the original folder you then have to search for that reimported image amongst them, what I am doing on reimport is moving the image/s to a separate folder.

Thankyou for the help but time for sleeping now🛌🥱

If you sort the Browser display by File Type all the the returned .onphoto files will be grouped together where they can easily be selected and moved to wherever you like.

Morning. DT just tried and all I get is as in image and that sends image back to original folder next to original image.

    Windows 11.

    Will look again today.
