Whenever I see that I immediately Quit the program and double check that my Scratch drive is in fact mounted on my Desktop. (It is always connected directly to a port on the Mac but sometimes it can become dismounted for some reason I haven't figured out.) When I relaunch the program and all is well so I don't worry about it too much.

When you move your scratch drive, ON1 sometimes can't find it and use the default location which is on your user library in application support > ON1; have a look to both your perfectbrowse caches.

When you get the message you had, go to ON1 prefs and check if the pbc has to be moved again in your external scratch location.

IF you ever have to move the PBC back to your Scratch volume you can do the following to shortcut the process and avoid having to rebuild the entire thing.

    1. Make sure that Photo RAW is not running after insuring that the Preferences still point to your Scratch drive.
    2. Rename the PerfectBrowseCache folder on your Scratch drive. I used PBC.
    3. Relaunch the program then Quit it again. This will create a new PerfectBrowseCache folder on the Scratch volume and link it to the program. Trash it.
    4. Rename the original PBC back to PerfectBrowseCache.

When you relaunch the program everything will be back as it was.

Brian, thanks for that. I had worked pathos to do something similar when my PBC DID revert to the internal drive some while back.

I still have no idea what counted for the behaviour I outlined above!

There could be some kind of timing issue that trips up the program's initialization or something in the OS the is preventing the program from seeing the drive in time to connect to it so it just throws up that message and reverts to the default location for that run of the program. That's why I always Quit it immediately after clicking the OK button.
