Problem with infrared RAW images
AnsweredI have a series of photos that were taken on an IR converted Canon camera. The images are in RAW (.cr2) format.
I have created a preset that does 90% of the conversion, leaving just some tweaking.
If, having applied the preset in Develop, I click "Done", the program returns to "Browse" and the Preset is lost.
If I apply the preset to a non-infrared RAW image and click "Done" the Preset is retained (and the +/- symbol appears).
Is it the infrared, ON1 RAW or me?
Thanks
ps In Browse mode the original image appears in JPG mode ie grey/white. If I then open it in Develop, it is in RAW mode ie red

I'm not sure what is going on. I doubt that it is because it was taken with an IR converted camera. The program wouldn't know the difference unless there is some IR specific EXIF metadata to tell it.
Would you care to make one of your IR CR2 files available for downloading so I can give it a try? I'd like to use your Preset too if possible. Export the Preset, then zip that together with a CR2 file and post the zip file to a file sharing site like Dropbox or WeTransfer then post the download link here.

The only way that I can think of that you'd lose the preset is if you've added any layers which would move your edits to an onphoto file and leave the original untouched.
If you have a preset, what happens if you apply that while still in Browse without going to Edit?

I have uploaded the original and preset to Dropbox.

Thanks, I've got it. I'll let you know what I find but it may not be until this evening before I've got the time to dig into it.

I think that Rick has identified the problem. Because I wanted to "mark" the image, to mininise confusion, I was applying a watermark. Leaving it out seems to remove the issue.

Good to know. How did you apply the watermark? Unless it was in another Preset which was applied after the first one and thereby replacing it, that shouldn't make any difference. Even if it was a 2nd Preset, they can be Inserted instead of being added so the 1st one is retained.

Just for completeness - I'm not having any trouble applying the Preset and doing nothing else. It works in both Browse and Edit modules and is retained when returning from the Editor to the Browser.

I've tried it too and is working properly for me.
If you used layers, look for a file with this name...

I don't know what I was doing yesterday, but thanks to the assistance of you, both the preset and layers are both working properly.
Thanks
