Just the Mac facts, please
Although I've had On1 for years, I never really got around to serious use. I'd occasionally watch a demo video and, zip-zip, things are masked, replaced changed and modified in a wink. BUT, am I the only one who finds ON1 increasingly counter intuitive?? Ive been Mac-ing around since 1986, was a pretty serious Aperture user until that died, and pretty Mac savvy. But today's experience has me bewildered.
I have the last intel MacBook Pro, 2 Gig quad core I-5, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB, 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X. I feel like I've been on the beach at Daytona with all the beachballs I saw today.
What's the thought? get an M2 MacBook Air? load it as much as possible? Hold the course and just try to keep sand out of my swim trunks?
I really want to love On1 Raw. Goodness knows I've bought every one, and been a plus member, since you-know-when. But I need some relief.
Any help, advice, or consolation is welcome.

Two "rules" that rule the universe are at play.
1. the 80/20 rule. In photo editing, then, 20% of the commands do 80% of the work. They keep adding commands because of rule #2.
2. "Wouldn't it be nice if".....My photo editing app/word processor/spreadsheet/etc, etc, would do this???
Which means to me, well, this is good enough for me and I really don't care behind that.
Above said with tongue in cheek, but also, kinda true??
