European printers alert my images not standard even when I use ratio crop
I got frequent problem with ordering posters in 70cmx50cm or any of the standar proportions, it is not much off but it makes manual cropping at the printer and other people crop my work..
I'd think 7:5 would mean 70cmx50cm... but it does not! It comes out as 70cmx49,something
And this is time-consuming and weird.
Can I avoid this?
I do NOT want to alter the image itself, I just want a crop to be accurate, no need AFTER to make it fit a frame..

Have you tried using Pixel dimensions rather than cm? Multiply the size in cm by the PPI to find the total number of pixels for that size.
Other than that you'll have to contact tech support.

Brian,
Is your formula correct? 1 inch equals 2.54 cm, therefore I think the formula should be (dimension in cm * PPI) / 2.54. But I can be wrong of course.0 -
Yes, of course, my bad. I forgot about the inches to centimeters conversion.
