Memory usage
AnsweredMy computer a 24 inch Mac with a M1 chip 16 gig of memory.
When ON1 2023.5 my activity monitor indicates that ON1 is using 12 gig of memory when in the browse mode and I am not browsing. When I start to browse my available memory drops to approximately 125 meg. When in draw mode I have about 45 meg of memory. I am constantly getting the spinning ball. Does anyone else have a similar problem and or a solution to my memory problem?

Are either of you using Catalogs? While Catalogs are being built you will see high system usage that drops off once the process has finished.
When you are editing, are you leaving open the Filmstrip and/or the Presets panel on the right side of the screen? While you are editing, the preview in the Filmstrip for that image and all the Preset Previews are constantly being rendered to keep up with your edits. This slows things down quite a bit as well as consuming additional system resources. Keep both of those closed until you need them then close them again.
By default, the program will scan your images looking for AI generated Keywords it can apply to them. This will also cause a spike in CPU and memory usage. You can turn that automated process off in Preferences > Keyword AI. Turn off the option Scan Cataloged Folders with Keyword AI.

Tech answered about my problem. On1 needs to have Full Disk Access. When I installed it, it did not give its self full disk access so I had to go into privacy and security and give it the access. It is now much faster.
