Scratch and Cache Question
First when emptying the Cache... does it actually delete the files in the cache location or just change a pointer? When I empty to Cache the files and dir size do not change.
Second the scratch files are located in ...Roaming/ON1/ON1 Raw 2022. When upgrading to 2023 why was this not pointed to ON1 RAW 2023. The file is there as well as ON1 RAW 2021. There are also a huge number of 2021 and 2022 files in the directory Roaming/ON1. Is this a housekeeping problem when ON1 updates? If I change it to ON1 RAW 2023 and delete the other files will this be a problem?

Yes, the Empty Cache button does in fact empty the cache. Just not the cache you are thinking of most likely. It does not affect the PerfectBrowseCache however.
There are 2 preview caches in the program. One is for Previews of images stored in Catalogs folders. The other is for folders which have not been cataloged. The Cache Size slider affect this 2nd cache. The PBC will grow to be as large as is needed for all the Previews it has to hold.
The Knowledge Base article Catalogs and Caches - ON1 Photo RAW explains all this in detail. And it was just updated last week! Time for me to reread it too. :)
