Where you will be locked out is if you try to download from any of the lessons/pages other than the one in the screenshot above (the one at the link in your opening post). All of the other pages in the course are On1 Plus only and the downloads at these pages are not accessible to others.

The files that I was able download as per above discussion include videos for all of the lessons.

You need to contact Customer Service. That is a Plus course. Can you post a screenshot of the email message you received? I'd like to see exactly what it says. I haven't seen that one.

    Brian,

    Thanks for responding.

Tried posting a screenshot of the email here, but the system says I can only upload .jpeg, .gif or .png file with size limited to 2 MB. My screenshot is only 493KB with a .jpeg extension.

It won't let me place the screenshot here.

Do you know by any chance the email address for the Customer Service?

    Brian,

I put the screenshot in my own share drive. Use the following to see the screenshot. Link expires in 30 days.

Use the Submit a Request link at the top and bottom of these pages.

It certainly does say free through the 5th which is Monday and they will not respond before then. Be sure to kindly point this out and ask for an extension to make up for the lost weekend.

Vincent, have you tried downloading the video files in the Course Downloads and viewing them offline? The Course Downloads for the overview module do not appear to be locked.

    Hi Richard,

I tried but can't download any of them. It tells me to become an ON1 Plus member first. All of them are locked.

I am not an On1 Plus member either but this afternoon, I was able to download and view the Course Downloads on the opening page (as per the free preview at the link you gave above). The Downloads on the pages for each of the individual lessons, however, have the lock icon (only available to On1 Plus).

I tried to include a screenshot of the page showing the unlocked status of the downloads but am having same problem as you in being unable to attach even small jpg or pdf files.

Vincent, make sure you're logged in to your ON1 account. It can't know you have free access if you're not logged in.

Might help but shouldn’t be necessary. I was not signed in when I downloaded the files. As per screenshot below, they appear free to all.

I just now signed out of my Plus account. I then went to the videos and I was able to download and unzip both sets of video files without any problems.

I don't know what you guys are doing, but if I sign out, I can't even GET to the video. I have to be signed in to see the Plus videos.

I signed out then I went to the Learn menu and chose the Video Library command. From there I clicked the link for Abandoned Places and Rural Decay. That took me to the page shown above where I was able to do the downloads.

Brian, no matter I was signed in or not, same result. All, except the short 38-second intro video, are locked. Can't download anything. Tried the Learn menu too, makes no difference.

Richard, I even tried to use the link in my opening post. Still, not able to watch or download anything. And I still can place a screenshot in here. Not sure why.

Rick, are you a ON1 member? If not, were able to watch the videos after you signed in?

Vincent, either you aren't following the directions to use the correct download links or there is something going on with your account which no one here can help with and you'll just have to wait for Customer Service to get back to you on Monday.

I even tried this on a different browser. Same result.

But there is progress to be made. I'm now able to attach a screenshot!

As you can see, this is shown after I landed to the Abandoned Places page and clicked on the Essential Gear link. They are all locked.

Yes! You cannot access the individual videos! This has been explained to you repeatedly. Click the Course Downloads link, then use the 2 video download links below. See the screenshot in Richards post 7 posts above.

When not signed in, the ONLY video that plays is the 38 second intro which of course is the only one named

    Abandoned Places and Rural Decay.

The rest of the course is not available.

    Brian and all,

I understand that you are trying to help me, and I appreciate very much.

I clicked on the link provided by the email. After the page loaded up, I was NOT signed in at that moment. I clicked on any link below the Abandoned Places video on that page. They are all locked.

I also tried this: Clicked on the link provided by the email. After the page is loaded, I signed in before doing anything. The signin process brought up the signin pop-up window and put in my credentials and signed in. After signing in, the page change to the video tutorials page where I clicked on the Abandoned Places video link. From there, I clicked again on the other video links, but all of them are locked.

So, I know what I was doing, but it just doesn't work for me. Perhaps Brian is right that there is something wrong with my account. But in terms of following instructions, I don't think I did anything wrong.

Gentlemen, this is Saturday and I don't want to waste any more time of yours. So, please accept my thank you and have a nice weekend.

Do not use the email link. It contains marketing trackers that are probably causing some kind of interference. They have probably set some cookies in your web browser too. I would clear those then use https://www.on1.com/videos/abandoned-places-and-rural-decay/, it should take you directly to the page in my screenshot above.

I got it! I restarted my computer (not sure if that fixed it) and took Brian's advise. There I was able to get to the download link from the Abandoned Places video.

Hmmm... screenshot is not posting. Again.

Anyways, thank you very much for all your help, Gentlemen!

Vincent, looks like someone at On1 received your message as all of the lessons are now unlocked and available for viewing for free online. Presumably free until at least close of play 5 June as per the email but there is nothing on the course page indicating free access is time limited so remains to be seen.
