Is there a way to batch apply (and remove) an effect to multiple raw files

I would create a version for all 50 photos. Select one of those versions, and either turn off or remove the Border Effect. Return to the Browser and select all 50 versions then sync the changed version to the rest. You can use the Filter bar at the bottom of the screen to show just the versions to make this a little easier.

    Hello Brian,

    Thanks for your reply!

I understand it in principle but I can't execute. I am trying the process on some pics with 1star that I will discard so I do not risk to mess up the good stuff.

i started with 3 of them just to dry run the process. I selected the 3 pics, right click, create version. So far so good it has created a "v1" additional raw file per each of the 3 pics. I edited one, adding a border, then closed.

Now I am stuck, I tried multiple ways but right clicking on the original or v1 files I always get "sync settings" grayed out.

I really do apologize to bother, but can you be a little bit more descriptive on what I am supposed to do?

    Thanks a lot in advance

Use the Filter Bar to select just those 1 star image versions.

Make sure the one you changed is the Super-selected image. It will have the brightest outline. Now the Sync button should be available or you can use the Paste Settings from Previous Edit command under the Settings menu.

    Hello,

I am getting close but I am still not able to do it in the right way... the problem is that when I click on past setting from previous edit it will overwrite all the picture setting and apply the source (previous pic). This is not intended as all the pics have been individually edited and should be preserved apart from removing the border.

I took a few pictures and just applied one random effect really visible to each one for the purpose of understanding.

Now I create a version of each one by selecting all of them

So far so good. Now as per instruction I select the first photo and remove the border. Then select all the versioned ones and click on paste setting from previous.

As you can see it has not just removed the border but it applied to all the versioned photos the whole settings I had for the first picture, for example removing B&W, LUTs, etc.

    Where is my mistake?

Thanks a lot for your patience

    Daniel

That’s true. I don’t know of any other way to do it. Sorry.

Hasn't something changed with this process? I'm sure you used to be able to specify an individual Filter. Now it's all effects or none.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but if it's all or nothing now, you won't be able to affect an individual filter.

As far as I know, it has always been all or none.
