Did you check the user guide? This is what it says...

Lens correction is used in Detail, Filmstrip or Compare modes

Disable Base turns Raw file processing off for special uses.

I don't know how it impacts performance.

    From page 268...

Yes, I read it but specifically for the Disable Base Corrections I really does not understand the impact if any to image processing or if it is only used for image preview only. What means "Photo RAW's basic raw-file correction" What ON1 really does to image, What it does?

For what I can say working with Panasonic RAW - output is flat and lifeless. Nothing like balanced contrast, color corrections and things included in Camera profile are applied. You have to do everything manually. I tried it some time ago and returned back to auto corrections.

In other words, exactly what you should expect from something called "Disable Base Corrections", Vladislav.

Jose, all RAW converters will, by default, apply some adjustments to the initial rendering of the file, simply to give you an OK place to start from.

Some people prefer to see the file rendered without any such adjustments, so ON1 caters for that small crowd with this option.

Perfect!, Thanks Vladislav Jurco and Keith Reeder, what I understood it is basically an ON1 correction preset applied to RAWs as basement to start with if the option is checked.

Are those corrections based on Camera internal profiles/corrections or are ones belonging to ON1 homecooked corrections?
