Change Default View Mode?

When browsing my images I generally prefer to use Filmstrip. However, when I change to a new folder, the View Mode always reverts to Thumbnail View. 

Is there a way to make Filmstrip the default? I don't see anything in Preferences.

  No, there is no option for that.
