Files disappear from Albums if the folder containing the original is renamed or moved
I had moved several photos from a cataloged folder into Albums. Seemed to work as expected. However, if I were to rename a folder with the cataloged folder, say from "May_3_Event" to "May_4_Event", the albums loses track of the photos that were added.
If I change it back, they will reappear.
I'm hesitant to invest time in organizing images into Albums if the effort can vanish due to a slight change in the file structure.
Is there a way to "reconnect" them to a source?
Thanks
Alan

I just tried some tests on this and it's working fine for me. If you find a reproducible bug, you should document it and send it to tech support.
In the mean time, if you're worried about losing something, just add a keyword with the albums name in it to all of the photos in the album. If something happens, you'll be able to search for them.

Jeffrey, just a point of clarity. Items don't actually get moved into an Albums. Albums are just a collection of links to where the original item is located.
When you make the folder name changes, are you doing that from within Photo RAW? If you did the program should track that. If you make the name change outside of PR it has absolutely no way of knowing where those links should point to now so the Albums no longer show those items. They are not lost as you've seen, the program just doesn't know where to look for them now.
Rick's suggestion of adding the Album name as a Keyword is a very good idea. It has the added advantage of allowing you to use Smart Albums (actually, just saved searches) which will always know where to find the images regardless of where they are located or what you used to change the names of their enclosing folders.
