What were the 2 locations you tried? Did you try saving to your Desktop so it goes to the boot volume?

Have you gone through the Delete Settings File procedure?

I work always on the c drive (sdd) for editing. I also tried on an internal HDD and to dropbox.
I also have it only  for that file an not for another.

For me Delete settings file is itself camouflaging an underlying bug that corrupts the settings.

Delete settings does not corrupt anything Henri. All it does is return ALL the program's state settings including your personal Preferences settings back to their defaults. This is what is is designed to do. It has been know for more than 20 years that corrupt or damaged or whatever name you wish to apply to the settings files can cause odd behaviors from programs.

I have nothing else to offer you except to refer you to tech support who will insist that you Delete Settings first. It may help, it may not but at least that potential for problems will have been eliminated.

I deleted the settings (I have now to reset my presonal preferences) but the problem is still there for that single file.

Then you have to talk to tech support. Be sure to tell them you've already tried deleting the settings so they don't waste time telling you to do it again.
