Photo RAW .xmp files created even though sidecar is turned OFF

I have always had sidecar files disabled on Photo RAW.  Since upgrading to 2023.5 it has suddenly started creating .XMP in the photo directories. I just checked and sidecar files are still disabled; I restarted the program, enabled and disabled sidecar files, and no change.   I don't see anything in the program notes, nor any other setting which might need to be disabled.  Is this a new issue with 2023.5 or am I overlooking something?

  The option to turn off sidecar files only affects .on1 files. Most likely the .xmp files are coming from Keyword AI automatically scanning images and placing what it finds into those .xmp files. That is how it is designed so they can be seen by other software. You can turn that off in Preferences > Keyword AI.

  That explains why it didn't happen till this new update!  I toggled the preference, restarted the app and it seems to be OK now.
